iPhone XR won't recognize Charge 2

I have had my Charge 2 and used it with my old iPhone 6S and it would alert me to text messages, calls, etc. I got the new iPhone XR and I have read every message about how to disconnect from the old phone and reboot it, etc. and done everything I could and my new phone still won't discover it in Bluetooth. I finally saw a link to Charge 2 compatible devices and the newest model listed was the iPhone X which was last year's model. None of the new models from this year (XS,  XS Max, and now the XR) were listed. Has anyone been able to get the XR to like via Bluetooth to give the alerts? I have no problem syncing to the fitbit app itself on the XR as that works fine, its just trying to get the text message and phone call alerts that doesn't work with the new phone. Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

@indybill7 The reason why Fitbit works with your iPhone 6s is because it was in the list of compatible devices. Because the iPhone XR was only released recently it hasn't been tested and the Fitbit App hasn't been certified with it yet. I am sure this phone will get the clear and be added sometime soon because all the previous models had.

Hope this helps!

Hey @indybill7, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! I'm afraid that, since the iPhone XR hasn't been added to to compatible devices list, I can't guarantee that it'll connect with your Charge 2, just like @kk15405 mentioned, these are very new models, but don't worry, as soon as we received updates about their compatibility from our team, I will let you know. 😉

I just bought the IPhone XR also. I have a Charger 2. Really hope that Fitbit adds this phone to the list of compatibility devices as that’s a feature I use with the Charge 2. Its frustrating that it doesn’t work.

So now I am receiving phone calls, reminders, and calendar notifications on my Fitbit. The only thing I am not receiving is text messages. Is there something I am doing wrong . And yes all of the settings are set to receiving text messages on my iPhone as well as my Fitbit .

Hey @Msgforever, I hope you are doin' fine! To be honest with you my friend, we as moderators don't know when this iPhone model, the XR, is gonna be full released as compatible to work with Fitbit devices. However, if you are getting notifications from that phone model, it means that maybe the phone still under testing and might be working now, but that is something that we can't guarantee. Now in regards of the text messages, our team is working in this issue that is occurring with operation system 12, so I will ask you to be patient while they work on this.

I will appreciate your time and patience!

I just powered up the iPhone XS Max and it initially synced on start up but now bluetooth can't even find the Charge 2.  I would like to be notified also.  😞

Hey guys! I hope you are doin' fine, @Kodican@Msgforever and @soxfan1!

There is no way to get notifications about when this device is gonna be compatible. So I will ask you to stay tune on this matter, by constantly checking out the compatible devices link. Also, you can try to sync your Charge 2 with your iPhone XR to see if it works. 😉

I will try and call again as mine is still not working with Text messages.  Phone calls, notifications, and reminders are working as alerts on my Charger 2 just not text messages.
