i got a replacement for my fitbit charge 3 today, as my old one had started to have some issues. setup was all going fine until i had a pop up saying ‘allow bluetooth access to antares’, assuming it was for fitbit notifications (as that’s what it said in the message) i accepted it, but now my fitbit will not properly load up, and i cannot remove the bluetooth access on my device (iphone, there is no i button to forget device). Is this a virus or a bug of some sort?? Have seen multiple posts about it last year but none seem to have been solved. I don’t particularly want to go through the process of asking for another replacement

Not sure but I think Antares was Fitbit internal pre-release code name for one of the trackers, perhaps Charge 3. But I don't know any more about how that affects your situation.

Hi! Just received My charge 3 that I purchased to replace my old one (you can see previous posts to give my background) and when I tried to setup with my iphone, I experienced the exact same message about antares. I didn't accept it first off, but then, when I checked my bluetooth connections, instead of charge 3 being connected (I had 2 prior entries for the prior ones I had), I had antares connected. What I ended up doing was removing all the charge 3 connections, and the antares connection, rebooted my phone and started over from scratch on the setup, including typing in the 4 digit code that is asked to connect to the device. after that, and making sure that the updates were done for both the app (currently running 3.42 (1052)) and the charge 3, it worked, and it shows as charge 3 in the bluetooth menu. I hope that this helps.

I too got a warranty replacement Charge 3 10/2/2021 with the odd Antares thing. M I think it’s my 5th or more in 4 years. Somewhere along the way I purchased a new Charge 3 discounted through Fitbit.com
At setup after the 4 digit code was entered it ask me to connect Bluetooth to Antares. No thanks, no way I thought. I went to the Fitbit Community and after reading all the posts it became even more bizarre, like a neighbor hacking into my Bluetooth. I doubted that one. At one point it did sync to my iPhone. I did a reboot on the device. Swipe left on device 4 times to settings, scroll up to bottom of page and tap About then reboot device. It came back on saying connect charge 3 to Bluetooth. It worked and know says Charge 3 at all expected places
