With my Alta I achieved 30 to 60 active minutes each day and with my new Inspire 2 I recorded 344 Active Zone Minutes today alone! How is this possible? I feel like AZM are way out of whack or just irrelevant. I don’t know what number to shoot for. I am 70.

Hello @ElinorMay! I understand why you're perplexed with the "new" Active Zone Minutes. It sounds like you are an active person, which is amazing! Basically, AZM now give you double the minutes when your heart rate is in Cardio or Peak zones. So if you go for a 30 minute walk and you spend 15 minutes in Fat Burn and 15 minutes in Cardio, you're going to actually earn 45 AZM (15 from Fat Burn and 30 from Cardio). When you're in Cardio or Peak, your body is working harder than it would be in Fat Burn or at rest, so now with Active Zone Minutes, you get "extra credit" for working harder.
I hope that explanation helps. You can also read this article for more information.

I certainly agree that AZM zone minutes seem irrelevant or out of whack.
