I had 2 other Fitbits which I could add steps when I forgot to put my Fitbit on after charging.  Need help adding steps for this morning.

That procedure should be in the app, independent of the tracker.  So however you have done it before should still work with a different model.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
