I have been using my Fitbit since Christmas and have found it to be great at tracking my activity levels accurately; recently I have been using it in in line with the Nutracheck app to monitor my calorie intake.
Now I have returned to working in retail I have noticed the watch has been automatically recording my movements as swimming exercise, and I am burning a lot more calories. Do I change the auto-recognised exercises to walking (as per my screenshot), or delete them completely and just keep my steps count? If the calorie burn is accurate then I am under-eating by around 700 calories (I was previously aiming for 1400 net calories a day when sedentary).
Any advice is appreciated thanks a lot

Hello @SuzMD and welcome to the Help forum. One thing you can do to stop this erroneous tracking is to set your Inspire HR to ignore swimming. Tap on your Exercise tile on your phone app, then the gear icon. Scroll down to swimming, tap on that and set the Auto-recognize toggle to off. It sounds like you have some type of arm movement at work that makes your Fitbit think you are swimming. See if that makes a difference for you. Some of that calorie burn is probably real, especially if going back to work means you went from being mostly sedentary to working on your feet. Please keep in mind that all calorie burns from fitness trackers are estimates. They are guides.
Get back with an update.
