Average steps per day is displaying weekly total instead

When I tap Community —> Friends and then myself, it shows that I am averaging 81K+ steps per day. My average is more in the 10-15K per day range. Every once in a while it displays correctly, but mostly it shows the inflated number which I assume is my 7 day total.

When I first look at the steps on this panel, it shows the correct daily average for the week. When I tap away and then return to check it again, it shows the weekly total but says it’s the daily average.

If I quit the app and reopen to check again, it’s correct again but only the first time I look at it, as described above.

It always shows the correct daily average for my friends without jumping thru hoops but not for myself.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to correct this.
