I don’t know where to make a complaint so I’m putting this here in the community. I have health anxiety and PTSD and went out with my husband for a late night drive out of town and suddenly out of nowhere the breath thing buzzed for the 1st time and told me to breath and scared the crap out of me . I thought it detected I was dying and was trying to calm me down , I took an emergency Ativan and we turned around and headed to the hospital. After finding out I was ok , I called Fitbit customer support and they said there’s no way to turn it off or uninstall it . I don’t want heart monitors, sleep monitoring , breathing reminders . I just want to count steps ! This is my official complaint that it’s awful that your watch would just start vibrating and telling people to breath and relax and scare me .  Very upset about this and scared of using my watch now

That's terrible.  I'm sorry for you.

I suspect what happened is that you accidentally got into the 'Relax' app, poorly named in your situation.  It vibrates to help time your in and out breaths.  I suggest you intentionally try it out sometime so you will know what is going on if somehow it ever accidentally get started up again.  From the main clock face, swipe down (scroll up) to get to the apps.  I think the first one is the 'Relax' app. Tap on that, with your husband with you, to see if that is what you experienced.  It is basically a breathing exercise supposedly to help calm you down, obviously with opposite effect in your case.  But if you see it intentionally once intentionally, that might help.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you 😊 yeah I put it on him and we watched it cycle through . I won’t be scared next time I think but wow did that scare me . I wish I was a calmer person who didn’t react to a breathing app with a panic attack lol .
