So when I log any exercise for an hour let’s say 12pm-1pm- the calories burnt are always the same regardless of the workout- how is this possible? Isn’t the tracker meant to get info from heart rates and give a different reading each time? Also- a friend that does the exact same workout as me burns 500 calories on Apple Watch while I only burn 250- agaib not accurate- can anyone help?

The problem is manually logging the workout after the fact. When you do that, and data actually recorded is overwritten based on the parameters you use to log the workout. Manual logging is best only for times when you were not wearing the tracker.
Instead, use the Exercise App to classify and start and end the workout as it happens and it will use the actual recorded heart rate data.
