Calories Burned Calculated when Set Up

Hi,

I’ve just set up my new FitBit Inspire HR. On the FitBit app on my iPhone my calories burned have already been calculated for many years and I am confused as to how this has happened as I have not owned a FitBit before or neither have I entered any calories burned on any iPhone applications.

Is there a solution to this or will my FitBit calculate my calories accurately when I wake up tomorrow?

Thank you

Those are your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  They get credited even when not wearing the tracker.  Also they get inserted into past history.  Just don't worry about them in the past.

See How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned? for more on BMR calories.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
