Mine did too.. I had it in the same plug that it had been on since I bought it. The plug itself was not hot, only the charging connections that connected to the fitbit unit itself. Only took about 20 seconds for it to melt.
Hopefully you were able to get resolution. I am getting ready to contact customer service now.

I'm thinking my charger melted. The one prong is now inset into the base of the charger and the plastic around it looks like it melted. I can't charge my FitBit.

Mine has melted as well! So weird... I have only had the Inspire for 2 months and the charger melted when I tried charging the Fitbit last night. Now I’m left with a melted charger and a dead Fitbit 🤦🏻:female_sign:
I had the Fitbit Charge HR for almost 2 years and never had any issues. Disappointed I’ve only had the Inspire for 2 months and this happened!

exactly what happened to mine. had it one year.
