Charging Inspire 2

I get the message "check charger, battery not charging."  I have tried several charging ports, all with the same result.  Do I need a new charging cable?

I've had Fitbits since they started making them in 2007.  Back then, there weren't so many to pick from, and all the equipment seemed to make sense ... I'm speaking of the charging cables.  They were long enough for any charging set-up, and actually held on to the device while charging.  Since then, while the abilities of Fitbits has increased, the user-friendly-ness has declined, IMHO.  I just received my new Inspire 2 ... once again, how in the world are you supposed to charge this thing with a cable that is only 9 inches long?  So to meet my needs, I have to order off-brand cables on Amazon ... why is this a problem?

#1 - I should not have to spend more money when I just paid for the thing; and

#2 - use of the off-brands will evidently void the one year warranty.

On the plus side, this charger actually magnetizes and clips into the device, instead of just magnetizing, like my previous Inspire HR.

I am happy to have a new device, but don't understand why this company can't get some of this right.  Many of us have complained about these issues for years.

I'd get a new charger. I just threw mine on the charger with no issues. The fact that you've tried several outlets and got the same results tells me there's something wrong with the charger.
