Connected GPS does not work on my Inspire HR

I have checked, double checked and triple checked that the app is connected to the phone GPS and that the app is allowed to use the phone's location. I have tried uninstalling the app, restarting the device, restarting the phone, reinstalling the app. Several times. I have tried cleaning the device, as someone in here adviced me months and months ago when this problem first occurred. None of this helps. For a time I had these strange straight lines on a map after a run (not the actual distance, just a random line somewhere in the area I'd run), but now there is just nothing. 

 

The annoying thing is that there is so much information I just don't get, and I also suspect now that the measuring itself is quite inaccurate. I checked a distance in Google maps that when looking at my Fitbit it said was 1.5 km, but Google maps says 1.9 km. No wonder then there is no progress with my running, and hardly any difference in time whether I jog calmly or make an effort. This is really frustrating.

 

Any other tips are heartily welcomed.
