How do I set up the Android phone app to show current heart rate? Mine only shows resting heart rate. The display on the device is too small to read while I am running. I need to display it on my phone. Also, if this is being read by someone who works for Fitbit, ask yourself why the heart rate display wastes 80 % of the screen real estate on a useless picture of a heart, rather than using it to show the useful information (i.e. the actual bpm number) with a font size that is readable. Your developers need to think about function rather than art.

Your asking about live data @DandG
To see this you want to make sure the tracker is actively tracking steps. IE you are actively walking.
At this time your app will switch to live data.

I watched the device and the app screen on my phone while walking on a treadmill to see if the app would change to show heart rate real time. The device was counting steps, but none of the numbers on the app change in real time. Steps, calories etc., only change in the app when I navigate through various screens.
