Daily exercise count inspire HR

The daily exercise count on Fitbit Exercise HR is deplorable! Most days it doesn't recognise all the minutes in the exercise session as being one continuous session. Other days it recognises total count but doesn't allocate a day of exercise being completed. Is it honestly such rubbish hardware that pausing to check that it is safe to cross the road prevents it being recognized as continuous exercise?? It's totally unreliable!

It sounds like you are relying on exercise auto-recognition.  You can avoid those problems by using the Exercise App, telling it when you start and end the workout.  All the time in between is counted as one continuous workout.

Thanks for your tips. The option of a walk doesn't appear as an option though. So still left with the same frustrations I'm afraid

You can make Walk an option.  You get to choose 6 or 7 from a choice of 20.

See Which workouts can I track in the Exercise app on my Fitbit device?  for all the options, and the following Help section for how to set and sort them.

Good workaround. Will do. Still disappointed at rubbish auto recognition though
