Do I Need To Reset?

I have just gotten this today and understand it knows I'm alive even when I'm not wearing it and all but I just brought it home, took it out of the packaging and stuck it on charge and then put it on but it says I have stepped 43 steps and burned 2129 calories just from taking it out of the box and charging it. Is this normal? I hadn't even set it up but as soon as it hit my wrist it said I had 2000 calories burnt and 43 steps just sitting in an arm chair.

Hello and welcome to the forums @TheLostLenore

Your Fitbit begins the day at midnight, so it credited you with those burned calories from that time. The steps may have been recognized while you moved the device while setting up. It's completely normal and won't be a problem with your stats. For the user manual and related articles - click to see Inspire  or   click to see Inspire HR
