Hi there!
I was wondering if my Fitbit HR changes my basal metabolic rate (BMR) in conjunction with me getting fitter. I am a bit worried that it is giving me a lower calorie allowance than I should have, which may have been fitting a few months ago, but not anymore, seeing as my fitness and muscle mass has increased quite a bit. If Fitbit doesn’t adjust automatically, is there any way I can change it manually?
Thanks!

My understanding is that the BMR calculations are based on gender, height, age, weight but not muscle mass or other measurement of fitness.
There's no direct way to change your BMR. All you can do is alter your profile settings for age, weight etc until you get the numbers you want. What some people do is to use an online BMR calculator to try out changes to the settings and when they find a combination that works for them they update their fitbit profile.
