Dongle not connected

I am setting up my new fit bit Inspire on the computer.  My fit bit is charged and the cord is plugged into my hard drive but the fit bit App (which I am trying to setup) keeps saying that my dongle needs to be plugged in and it already is.  I have done all the latest updates, any suggestions?

@Hockeypops, it's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help  you setting up your device. The usb dongle isn't the same as the charging cable. You can follow these instructions to setup your device.
