I'd like to change how long the display stays on after I want to look at it, like maybe 10 secs

Thanks for sharing your inquiry. At the moment we don't have this option on Fitbit Inspire HR. You can add it a as a Feature Suggestion.  Members of the Community can post new ideas in this board so they can be implemented in a future updates, this is a great way to make your voice heard.
