I have had a message saying “go to the Fitbit app and try another clock” on my watch for weeks. Cannot find another clock or otherwise make the message go away.

Try restarting your your Inspire 2 : https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm After you restart I’d suggest changing your clock face: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2311.htm Make sure to select one developed by Fitbit, not a third party one and see if the display stops showing the "clock error".
