Exercise Tracking Only Shows Run, Walk, or Hike

I would love to track yoga and weights the same way I track a run or elliptical, but I don't see these as an option in the Exercise Tracker. I know they are not auto-recognized. I have added them as exercise shortcuts on the inspire 2, but I'm not sure what that does (nothing so far). I don't see a way to start an exercise on the Inspire 2 itself. Is my only option to add the exercise in retrospect by using log previous? Is there any point to that?

I have to say, the device is pretty cool, but the app is amazingly clunky and unintuitive.

It sounds like you are starting them from your phone.  To use the exercise shortcuts you just added, among 20 possibilities, on Inspire 2 itself, from clock face, scroll up (swipe down) to 'Exercise; tap that, then scroll up or down to see the choices.

Johnny Row correctly identified your problem, except for the fact that they removed Walk from the list of exercises.  Why??  I hate that. From the phone you can select Hike, but from the Inspire 2 the only close option is Run. Overall, I'm really disappointed with this device.  I can't tell if it's even capturing steps.  I walk my dog 2 miles a day, and there are days that my Inspire 2 seem to pick up very few steps.

No, No, No!  Although it can only show 6 choices on the watch, you can choose which 6, and in what order, from at least 20 choices, including yoga, walk, run weights, elliptical.

I have just bought an Inspire 2 and I agree. How do you add other exercises like Yoga and Strength Training?  I don't see the point of adding retrospectively either???

But where do you add the exercises?

Hello @Sammyj123

Open your Fitbit App, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Inspire 2 then scroll down and tap exercise shortcuts. Here you will find a list of 7 exercise shortcuts. You can only have 7 showing on this list at one time. If you want to add another exercise you must pick one of the 7 to delete. To do that slide the exercise you want to delete with your finger to the left and a delete pop up will appear. Now since you have 6 exercises you can add a new one (like yoga) So now tap the “+Exercise Shortcut” pick a new exercise and it will automatically be placed in your exercise list making it a total of seven again.
😃 I hope that makes sense and answers you question
