When wearing my fitbit 24/7 it recognizes and logs my exercises (running, biking etc) correctly. Unfortunately, step count is all over the place, and usually way too high. That's fine, I'm not interested in that data anyway.
I've linked my fitbit to Myfitnesspal. Fitbit writes an "Extra Calories Earned" value to MFP. This value is the sum of calories expended by all daily fitbit activity: steps taken, exercises done etc. Since the step count is wildly inaccurate, the number written to MFP is "polluted" by inaccurate data. Instead of exporting one sum total, is there a way to export individual exercises from Fitbit to MFP, and ignore the stuff added by steps counted?
In example below, instead of one 1675 cal log, I'd want to see 3 logs of 115 + 573 + 110.

Hi @mb0erman, welcome to the community.
So you are saying you don't wish for MFP to take your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) from Fitbit, just workout expenditure?
I think the only way to do this would be to disconnect Fitbit from MFP and log the workouts manually (using the data Fitbit has recorded). The way the link has been set up is to pull in your TDEE so that MFP can see how active you have been and adjust your calories accordingly, this is by design.

Thanks Nathan for your input here. So you're saying that you can't break down TDEE into its components, and export the ones you want to keep. Bummer. I got my fitbit to take the hassle of manual logging away...
It also seems kinda weird to me, since the exercise data I'm after does already show up as separate logs in the Fitbit app. I'm crossing my fingers that there's some roundabout route through another app that lets me do what I want. Will update here with results.

There is one "workaround" I do know of, but it only works for activities logged using GPS (has the Inspire HR got connected GPS?).
This would work with Walks, runs and outdoor cycling. You would need to link your fitbit account to Strava, then link strava to MFP. When you complete one of those activities using GPS, it will sync to Strava and then strava will sync the separate activity to MFP. As I said this will only work with GPS recorded activities as Fitbit doesn't sync non GPS activities to Strava (you would still need to disconnect the Fitbit to MFP link otherwise it would still sync TDEE). You could also experiment with runkeeper or something similar (maybe the sync non GPS activities?) but I have no experience with any other apps/platforms.

After some trial and error, I found that MFP will import separate exercises from Fitbit. No need to go through Strava. Two caveats:
-Step count in MFP must be set to iPhone or off
-As you said N8teGee, MFP will only import activities logged using GPS. Automatically recognized exercises aren't GPS logged, so those still need to be entered manually.
