Feedback about SmartTrack feature

One of the main reasons I purchased this product was to track my exercise and calorie burn. I've since discovered that the watch doesn't track exercise unless its in excess of 10 minutes per session. For a lot of people (myself included), a few daily sessions of 8-10 minutes of high-intensity exercise is all I/we can accomplish (there are a variety of reasons for this), but because of this ridiculously limiting feature on the Fitbit Inspire, my sessions are rarely counted because they fall under the 10 minute mark (the heart rate monitor accurately reflects the increase when I do these sessions), but the calorie tracker doesn't move one bit.

This is such a huge failure with this product, how much more discouraging to those of us using it in this fashion can you possibly be? Is Fitbit actively trying to discourage people that need to begin at a slower pace? I guess so, and I'm going to be returning this product, as its a complete waste of money from my standpoint! I definitely won't be recommending it.

@Masm Welcome to the Community. I appreciate the time you took to let us know your feedback about the SmartTrack feature on Fitbit watches/trackers.

Your feedback is important to Fitbit because this help us improving or implementing features.

Our objective is to motivate users to become more active, the SmartTrack feature will automatically recognize the exercise you're doing and start tracking it after 10 minutes as you mentioned. However, if you're doing less minutes, you still have the option to manually start the activity on your tracker by using the exercise app, to do so:

1. On your tracker, open the Exercise app .
2. Swipe to find an exercise, and tap to choose it.
3. Tap the play icon to begin the exercise, or swipe up to set a goal for time,
distance, or calories, depending on the activity.
4. When you're done with your workout or want to pause, press the button.
(Press the button again and tap Finish to end the workout.)
5. Swipe up to see your workout summary.
6. Press the button to close the summary screen.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
