Fitbit App not working

I have been a Fitbit member since 2014, currently using an Inspire 2.  When I open the exercise widget on the app it shows that I went for a walk but where the map is located just underneath the red circle just goes round and round and never updates.  I scroll down further and anywhere I walked that logged a map is doing the same thing.  When I swipe over to see the days I've exercised in the month it only goes to last Thursday (where you see the whole month and check marks are on each day).  On the dashboard on the computer it shows everything (I work out 6 days a week, always have).  So something is wrong with the exercise function in the app.  Lots of red circles going round and round.  I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, disconnected bluetooth and reconnected, logged out and logged back in.  Not sure how to fix.
