Fitbit Inspire HR Screen Freeze Fix

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My screen tonight became unresponsive to touch. Wouldn't change between any of the settings. ALl I could get was the time & date screen. It seems other fitbit types have had this problem also.

I managed to fix it by simply changing the clockface on the fitbit app. When this updated the watch all worked fine and the screen once again became responsive to touch.

So, if this should happen to you, first thing to try is just change the screen face type on the app and see if that does the trick before trying anything more complicated or technical. Hopefully it will work for you also.

😊

@MarshKL Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

I truly appreciate the time you took to share the troubleshooting that helped you fixing the unresponsiveness from your display. I'm glad to hear that it got fixed by changing the clock face on your Fitbit app.

Hope I can continue seeing you around. 😀

Gave it a try (3 different clock faces and resynced each try), but sadly, didn't work for me. Still unable to swipe up or down and unable to tap clock face and change thru date, time, steps, etc.

@SilviaFitbit Hi. Thanks for checking. Yep. Sadly I have tried the following:

#1

- Changed clockface

- resynced

- restarted

no change

#2

- changed clockface

- restarted

-then resynced

no change

#3

- Restarted

- changed clockface

- resynced

#4

- Restarted

- changed clockface

- resynced

- what the heck, restarted again

no change.

Still unable to scroll, tap, or otherwise do anything with my Inspire HR display.

On another note: While searching in help the latest firmware available to the Inspire HR is shown as 20001.63.18

my unit is at 20001.63.12  further reading tells me that I am unable to force an update, that a pink button will appear in my app on my phone to tell me when an update is available.

Per the instructions I have left my app open on my phone, my phone and my Inspire HR both on chargers for extended periods of time including overnight, but I am not getting the pink update button to allow me to change from 63.12 to 63.18.  Is there a way to get an update without having the pink button show up?

* I am also using an IOS phone, have gone out to the app store and checked for app updates - but none show as available.

** all day sync is set to on

Thanks.
