Why do the steps in my Dashboard and on my actual Fitbit differ?  I can't find the answer anywhere...….

Your dashboard shows the step count as it was when you last synced your fitbit so it should match the moment the sync finishes but will then be out of date as your fitbit tracks further steps.

Well, it said it had synced, several times over the course of a couple of hours, but the count still didn't match.

It showed that it had synced several times, but wasn't updating the steps over the course of about 2 hours and never did show the same.
