When I go to download the Mac app Inspire HR isn't one of the products that comes up.

Any help would be nice.

Welcome to our community @Corelene. I´ll be happy to assist with your setting up your Inspire HR inquiry.

Some operational systems don't allow pairing Inspire HR. Have you tried pairing your tracker with another device like a cell phone? Does your computer have built in Bluetooth?

I'll be waiting for your response.

Wow.  For what we pay for the Inspire device, I am amazed it won't sync with MacBook Pro/Air.  Why do I have to just have it on my phone?  Why won't you allow it to sync with MacBook Pro?

After hours and hours of searching Fitbit's website—going through the Community and Help topics—and downloading/redownloading the app, deleting and reconnecting my device, I finally turned to a live chat. The agent told me the latest app doesn't allow the Fitbit device to work with a Mac computer. I have a MacBook Pro. The Inspire HR box says it is compatible with a Mac. The agent told me the app was "improved" and with the "improvement," the ability to connect with a Mac was eliminated, making it only compatible with a mobile device.

I live in a rural area where the internet service is very poor: unreliable, slow and with limited bandwidth. For this reason, we do not have a cell phone because we have NO service at all with one. (Our visitors have experienced this!)

I feel that as long as the Fitbit products are on the market, the app should reflect this; i.e. continue working with the Mac (and/or other computers if the case applies). I am so frustrated and now angry that I will not buy another Fitbit device. I'll add that this is my second. My first was an Alta, which worked for almost 5 years until last month when apparently the battery went bad as it would no longer hold a charge. Another note: I purchased this Inspire ON SALE through a nationwide store. Perhaps someone knew something then—my question is: if this was known, why wasn't there a recall of the products instead of offing them onto unsuspecting customers? OK, I'll quit my rant.
