Fitbit Inspire Not Turning On

My Fitbit Inspire is not turning on. I have had it charging for several hours but nothing happens. I have also held the button for 5 seconds to restart it, but that does not do anything.

Have you confirmed that the outlet and plug you are using are currently working?  Also is the Inspire correctly placed in the magnetic charging cradle with the charging points lined up with the little charging pins?

Once it has had time to charge making sure that everything is working and the points are correctly aligned, try holding the button for significantly longer than five seconds.  The Inspire must be correctly sitting in the charging cable and plugged in to charge the entire time you are holding the button, so be careful it does not become detached.

It also might be worth cleaning the charging points:

Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device to ensure they stay bronze or gold in color:
  1. Use a toothbrush with rubbing alcohol. Dry with a cloth or tissue before charging.
  2. Make sure not to scrape the contacts with anything metal, since metal can damage the plating and cause corrosion.

If you have tried all these steps and your Inspire still won’t turn on it is time to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com .  Be sure to tell them the troubleshooting steps you have already tried, as that will save time.
