Fitbit Inspire does not respond

My brand new Inspire does not do anything. I have charged the battery fully and tried the recommended restart several times. The only display I get is the screen to go to fitbit set up. I have installed the fitbit app and set up an account. The Fitbit will not pair with my LG G6 phone. The screen does not respond to anything I do.

Let me help you with your unresponsive Inspire device and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Where are you trying to setup the tracker? The setup needs to be done via the Fitbit app not from the bluetooth settings area on your phone. I suggest you clear the bluetooth connection before retrying the setup by doing the following:

 

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
