Hello!
I got my Fitbit Inspire back in June 2020, and I was quite happy with even though after a few months of usage it stopped sending notifications from my phone.
A day after Thanksgiving day of this year my husband and I flew to The beach in Mexico and I made sure my Fitbit would be fully charged before our flight. After we arrived to Mexico and by the end of the day my Fitbit’s battery was completely drain… super weird as it normally lasts 4-5 days. I just set it to charge again and all seemed ok the next day and wear it through the whole day while we were on the beach and swimming in the sea… by midday the battery was completely drain again. I tried to charge it again later that night and nothing. It never turned un again and I have tried to reset it and still nothing.
We are back to California and tried to charge it here and nothing…
I have seen now several people complaining about the “life expectancy” of the Fitbit products and they seem to basically die after a year of the purchase which is extremely frustrating giving the price tag for their products.
Can someone explain what could have happened? Or why is it that Fitbits in general seem to just randomly die like that in such a short amount of time?
I am giving it another chance and just bought a new Fitbit charger 5 with a 2 year extended warranty… should I be afraid that this one will also die in a year or two?
Is there any sort of extra precautions that need to be taken and no one knows about?
