Hi, my first post since im a new fitbit user.
I own Fitbit Inspire HR + Huawei p30
I paired the devices without an issue and everything is working great but at some time Fitbit app on my phone won't start. It just freezes and nothing happens. The only way to make it work again is to reinstall it. But the reinstall makes it work only until the next time i try to activate it. So in order to use it, I need to reinstall the app every single time.
I have been reading this forum and saw that people had had this issue before but couldn't find a solution that works for me.
Many times it is advised to install the latest version of the app but i install it directly from Google play so im thinking it can't get any newer than that?
Thanks in advance. IM a first-time fitbit user and I really want to make it work.

SOLVED!
I went on and bought Honor smartband 5.
It is exactly half the price of my ex fitbit inspire HR.
It has full-color screen (inspire has monochromatic), the screen resolution is much higher, and above all the app works flawlessly... not only everything works like a charm, but the app itself also is fully unlocked and free (no premium account, no locked features no additional charges)
And the best of all I don't need to restart my phone a hundred times a day just to use Fitbit's basic features.
Fitbit is a great disappointment. Not only its crapy product but customer support is awful and this forum proved to be quite useless.

Hi @DavorinDinic,
Have you tried clearing the Fitbit app cache on your phone? It should be somewhere in your phone settings. You should see something that says "Apps" (or something similar). Find "Fitbit" and select it. Then select "Storage" and "Clear Cache".

Thanks a lot for your answer but unfortunately it didn't do the trick. I still need to reinstall the app every time i try to use it. The biggest downside is when the app is not working neither is my Inspire. I can't see caller ID or any message while the app is down (which is 95% of the time)
Is there anything else i can do?
The phone is one month old, the Inspire is one week old, this shouldn't be so much problematic

Is there anyone that can offer any other piece of advice? Im lost here, i gave a lot of money for something that doesn't work...

**ahem**, wish I had looked this up sooner ... I have the exact same issue with my Fitbit Inspire Hr and Google Pixel 3. The app keeps crashing and won't open at all when I click on it. The crashes started to happen last week when I'm not even using the Fitbit app, I'd be on some other app and would get the Fitbit is no longer working error message. I reported it, but haven't heard anything back.
It sounds like uninstalling and reinstalling the app every time I need to use it is the only "solution"? ... which isn't much of a solution. Hope this gets sorted, apologies for piggy-backing on this thread.
