Hello,
I set up a weight goal which calculated on 'harder intensity' plan to have a calories deficit of 1,000 per day yet when I check my calories ins+outs the 'goal zone' brings me to a deficit of only 500 or so calories and not 1,000 calories.
How is it possible that i need a deficit of 1,000 but fitbit calculates 500 deficit to be in the goal zone and when i have a greater deficit such as 1,000 I am in the 'under zone' in my goal zone tracker?
Because of this my 'calories left for the day' are higher to what i should have if i was to be on daily deficit of 1,000 calories..
Can someone help me with this?

Hi @Majka_94 nice to see you around. I'll be glad to give a hand with your inquiries about how your Fitbit app calculates your calories.
Since you've mentioned that you need a deficit of 1,000 but right now it is been calculated on 500, so you can reach your goal zone. Would you mind confirming what option are you using on your Daily Calorie Estimate Settings? You can see that information here:
Since your goal zone will depend on what option from these settings you're using. You can read more about it in this master post from @SebringDon.
I'll be around in case that you need more help.

Hi @YojanaFitbit,
Appreciate your comment.
The option I'm using in the Food Plan is Sedentary just like you have shown.
I read the articles you have included but I'm still slightly confused.
I understand the Food Plan which is an estimate for the whole day and it increases the more active i become - See below.. I know that 1399 available calories are 2399 - 1000 (deficit) which is fine.
I'm more confused in relation to the below
So currently my Goal Zone is 956 calories (880 calories + 76 calories available to hit the goal zone as my 'deficit is greater than I need').
1521 calories burned - 956 calories in goal zone = 565 calories deficit and not 1000.
I thought the difference between burned calories and eaten calories is suppose to be the deficit of 1000 calories?
