GPS not working

The last 3 times I pushed the button to start an exercise, a walk (which I do have set to use GPS during a walk) the GPS function has not worked.  Prior to these past 3 walks it was working perfectly fine!  So it is logging the walk but not with GPS.  Anyone able to help me out with this and get the GPS function recording again?

@Foxxy1601 Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for the detailed information shared. I'll be happy to provide you with troubleshooting that can help you to get GPS again.

There are a few reasons why GPS might not connect. Review the information below, then check the requirements and troubleshooting steps.

  1. Environmental factors, including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and even thick cloud cover, can interfere with your device’s or phone’s ability to connect to GPS satellites. If the signal is blocked—either because you're underground or due to another reason—GPS won't work.
  2. Confirm that GPS is enabled on your device. For more information, see How do I turn on GPS for an exercise on my Fitbit device?
  3. For connected GPS, turn off Wi-Fi on your phone so that your phone doesn’t try to connect to available networks along your route.
  4. For connected GPS, verify the following requirements; then try the troubleshooting steps if necessary.

Also, you may want to check the requirements in this article: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

After checking the information above, please try the following troubleshooting:

  1. Force quit, and reopen the Fitbit app to refresh the connection with your device. If GPS won’t connect, try step 2.
  2. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on. If GPS still won’t connect, try step 3.
  3. Restart your phone.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
