HR and step count not working??

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit decided to stop flashing those green lights on the sensor area this morning. It no longer detects my heart rate and is not tracking my steps. Anyone else experience this?? This Fitbit is relatively new (bought in January.) This all happened today right after taking it off the charger. Please help!!

Hi, @KelKel45 , have you checked that the HR has not been accidentally set to off?  On the Inspire HR swipe down to the settings menu, tap, then scroll to heartrate and make sure it is ON.

Also, whenever your Fitbit is not behaving as expected, it is a good idea to give it a restart.  You will not lose any data.  To restart:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Sometimes you need to repeat this a couple of times, as a single restart does not always work.

I hope this helps.  Let us know how it goes.  Welcome to the forums!

I am so glad that worked!  A restart can fix many issues... Please post again if you have other problems, or join in the discussions.
