How Do I Turn off Inspire HR Notifications

ANSWERED

I previously set my Inspire HR to receive notifications out of curiosity, but it's driving me nuts. I'm a creative writer and the constant buzzing of my wrist is too much of a distraction. I've gone into my Dashboard and turned off notifications (I believe), but I keep getting email and text notifications all day long. It seems that my Hotmail account no longer sends notifications (though I won't swear to it), but my Gmail and Text messages are still a-buzzing. I have also reset my Fitbit to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hi MilesEmerson,

I believe I can help you with this.

  • In the Fitbit app interface click on your profile picture in the top left corner.
  • Then click on the Inspire HR listing under Devices.
  • Under General click on Notifications
  • In the top right corner click the 3 for menu or overflow menu (not sure if you are an iPhone or Android user)
  • Choose Disable Notifications

That should do it. The alternative method  for targetting specific notifications would be to click on each of the main menu screens:

  • Calls (has an on and off switch)
  • Text Messages (Turn Off Notifications)
  • Calendar Events (Turn Off Notifications)
  • Emails (Turn Off Notifications)
  • Notifications (Populates a list of all the apps on your phone - just make sure none are selected)

Hope that helps.

NaulterEgo,

Thank you! I had turned off notifications under the "Privacy and Security" setting in my profile. I wasn't aware of the alternative route you mentioned, which actually worked. This thing has been driving me nuts! ... but I'm hopeful this will end it. I'll know when the messages stop from this point forward. Thanks again.

It didn't work for me.  I have NO applications associated with my Inspire but it still connects to my calendar.  I disabled all notifications except Low Battery and recognizing a new activity.

Now what?  It only annoys me in the middle of the night with "all day events" from my Outlook calendar.  Help ?

Same here! I tapped the picture circle (upper left) that took me to account page, then scroll down to Inspire Hr, tap and then tap notifications unclick calendar. That is working for me so far. I was getting birthday notifications every half hour starting at 3am!

Sadly - when I got to “Notifications” and tapped – it would not go to the next page where ‘calendar’ is probably hiding. It did nothing. Like it’s stuck at that point.

Any other ideas? Thanks for the response.
