I have to do my activities during my work day, so I take short 5-7 minute walks when the move alert goes off. I want to track it, but it only tracks run or treadmill. Is there a way to change what choices I have on the device itself, or do I just continue to pretend I am on a treadmill?

Hi, @Pseudonurse , you can definitely track walks! (I am not quite sure why you think it only tracks runs or treadmill?)
You have two options for tracking... You can let your Fitbit track automatically -- using Fitbit SmartTrack , and the Fitbit should detect your walk and automatically record it -- however, for that the minimum time is 10 minutes (and you will need to set that in your app -- please post again if you need instructions for how to do that).
If your walks are only 5-7 minutes and you would like to track them as activities (not just count your steps, which your Fitbit will doautomatically), them with the Inspire and Inspire HR you have the option to use the "multi sport mode" on your Fitbit to manually track your activity.
First, make sure that "walk" is one of your "exercise shortcuts". On your app click on your Inspire icon and scroll down to "exercise shortcuts". Click on that. You will see 6 preloaded shortcuts. If walk is not there you will need to delete one that you do not use. Once you delete one activity you will be able to choose other ones. Select "walk". Be sure to save and sync your Fitbit when you make any changes.
When you are ready to track your walk, swipe down on your Inspire to the Exercise setting. Tap in "exercise" then scroll up until you come to "walk". When you see walk on the screen tap and you will see the "Let's go" screen. Tap again when you are ready to go.
When you are done, a short press of the button pauses your walk, amd another short press brings up "Finish". Tap finish and you will see the results on your Fitbit screen. When you sync you will see detailed results in your app.
This does sound complicated at first, but you will quickly get the hang of it, and you will have a record of all your short walks throughout the day.
If you don't need a record of each walk, just do nothing and your Inspire will count your steps and add them up through the day.
I hope this helps. If you need any more details about any of these steps, please post again. Welcome to the forums!

You can either start a walk with connected GPS using the app on your phone, or you can change the choices available in your "exercise" option by logging into your account on the Fitbit web site and editing the six that are available on your tracker. A walk option is available.

This is just what I wanted to read, thank you. I didn't realize you could change and select different workouts on the app to then choose on the watch. So helpful thank you.
