I got my HR Inspire two days ago, and have been having issues, both are linked to sleeping:
Sleep Tracking:
The first night, it only gave me the basic sleep details, and I forced myself to sleep at least 8 hours overall to try and get the best results.
The second night (last night), it said i was asleep at 5:45am despite me checking the time at 6:30am in exasperation because I hadn't slept a wink yet. I woke up at 11:00am and was dissapointed to see that the times I know for a fact I was awake were marked as deep/REM sleep.
Heart Rate:
I'm noticing hour long gaps where my heart rate isn't being monitored during the night.
I wear the device as instructed, 2-3 fingers above the wrist bone with the screen facing up.
I'm wondering if maybe the fact that there is only one position that guarantees sleep (unless I'm awake for multiple days) and that position requires me to sleep on my arms, so I'm thinking maybe I cut the blood flow to my arms enough that the recorded heart rate is affected?
I've just restarted it, and since I'm doing challenges and bingos I do not wish to factory reset it and lose all the data that's been recorded so far.
One of the main reasons I purchased this was to help track my sleep since I've had a lifetime of awful insomnia.
I don't know what to do at this point and the other posts I've been reading don't seem to match my issues well.
Thanks in advance for whatever input you may contribute.

edit: it's been a few days and the problem is just getting worse, it only gives me basic sleep details, despite showing full heart rate the whole time i was asleep. I slept for 7+ hours too.
Starting to regret buying this

Here's what most nights look like as an example.

Last night I got basic sleep details despite having a full reading of my heart rate?

Same issue with my Versa 2. I was wide awake and moving at 4 am and even had my arm up in front of my face looking at it at 4am and it shows that I was in REM from 3:37am to 4:11. I was wide awake that entire time. I have sleep issues so this is very frustrating for me to not get accurate sleep readings 😞

My wife is sick of her Inspire not recording her sleep accurately.
I dread listening to her daily review of her sleep records (or no record) and wish I had bought her a Versa. But she has a small wrist and the Inspire seemed a better choice.
Some say, wear the band looser, others say tighten it up. Neither seem to work.
Is Fitbit listening to any of these complaints?

I don’t think they are helping or responding and I hate this! My husband bought a cheap off brand band and it works fine....he’s laughing at me for spending so much. I am recovering from cancer/BMT and need accurate sleep info. I get basic info, no score IF it logs my sleep at all!

Here is a transcript of a live chat I (Me) had with FitBit (FB) yesterday (some personal info I have obviously redacted.) Maybe there's something in there that will help you. And take care of yourself - I wish you well.

Then, hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.

I meant to add that sleep was recorded well last night - maybe it was a fluke, hopefully it's the start of something good!

After going through the steps suggested by the FitBit phone help person, my sleep was measured correctly for 2 nights, then it reverted to its usual dumb self.
Frustrated.
Also, see my post on seniors who use walkers and don't get steps counted.
