Got a fitbit inspire 2 last week. Mainly for work. The first two days it was perfect but now the Infrared light has stopped working and therefore my BPM and sleep can't be tracked. I've tired disconnecting and starting again but nothing?

@LuDunn22 you may want to verify that your Inspire 2 is not set to "On Clip" because that would disable the heart rate feature. To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the device. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist". If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist" to enable heart rate detection.

Ah!! Thank you so much!! I don't remember changing this to be on clip. Is there a way I can stop this from happening?
Thanks again! Very new to to how it all works and so getting used to it is a slow process ☺️

@LuDunn22 I'm glad that worked for you! That setting seems to change all in its own sometimes. Mine has done that too. It's a good thing to keep in mind, if the little lights ever stop working.

Had the same problem and yes, it was on “clip.” Thanks for your answer - problem solved!
