Infrared sauna workouts with Fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I go to Hotworx. It's infrared sauna with different workouts in each sauna such as stationary bike, rowing machine, pilates, yoga, ballet barre, buns workout etc. Hotworx utilizes Fitbit to track workout time, heart monitor etc. However, I just read that I can't wear my Fitbit in the sauna. Does anyone know if Fitbit turns off like the iPhone if it gets overheated? Does anyone know what temperature is too high? Generally the temp are about 120-130.

Hi @winslowlady - I would say those temps are too high and you are in danger of damaging your Inspire. Please check page 43 of the manual for environmental conditions.  Interesting workout program, though.

I'm not very sure about the fitbit, however I am very interested in the infrared sauna. Is it a room with infrared waves where you can exercise? I am asking this, because I am very curious about infrared and its impact on human body.

Many say that infrared is harmful and that it should be avoided just like ultraviolet. According to them, if the sun is harmful then how can infrared be beneficial to our body? Everybody knows that sunlight is a great source of vitamin D, but it's still dangerous. What can infrared give us? I used to think this way as well, now I am 70 % sure that infrared is not harmful, but still I'm searching for answers. Is infrared actually beneficial for our health? https://infraredforhealth.com has anyone tried anything besides the sauna from this list? This is the most common services, I'd like to know more about other services.

Although I haven’t used other infrared products I can say that I use my infrared sauna every day. Not only is my skin clear, cellulite decreased and aches and pains almost gone, but joint pain is better, sleep is better and workouts are easier to get through! Its a fantastic detox.  I also just feel better all around 😊 so I do believe in the healing powers of infra red!
