My Inspire 2 heart rate function keeps freezing up during exercise. I have tried tightening the band, loosening the band, and moving it up and down on my wrist without success. The problem is intermittent. It will freeze, not registering the heart rate, and then start up again. I am getting about half the activity points I should be earning, and I am concerned that I cannot track my actual rate accurately during intense exercise. This is the main reason I use the FitBit.
Edited to add: This seemed to start working a little better near the end of my workout when I was sweating a bit. I wonder if dry skin is preventing a good reading? So far nothing else is helping...trying to rub a bit of water on my wrist before attaching the band. I'll let you know if this helps.
Sadly, moistening my wrist did not help. Moving the band up and fastening it really tightly left terrible marks on my skin...that are still visible 8 hours after removing the device. I'm not sure that even helped, but it is definitely not a good solution. None of this seemed to be a problem until a week or so ago.

Hi @Beespajamas - Over-tightening the band is definitely not a good option and a wet wrist should not make a difference. Aside from those things, I'm not sure what other trouble-shooting you have tried, but if you haven't done so, I would suggest a reboot of your tracker. Here are the instructions for that:

Rebooting seems to correct a lot of annoying issues like this. See how that works. Good luck!

Thanks so much Ozzie65. I was uncertain about trying to reboot because I was afraid it would erase all my data, but I see from the page that you sent me to that that is not the case. I have tried the reboot and all seems well. Since the problem has been intermittent, I guess I won't know for sure for a while whether this has corrected the error, but I have hope!

Sadly, my Inspire 2 is still working very erratically. It's a real dud in spite of several reboots. Hope has diminished. I never know if it will work or not.
