Inspire 2 Screen too dim

ANSWERED

I just noticed someone else is having the same problem. I've tried all of the same troubleshooting methods with no luck. Can I get assistance with this as well?

Hi, @TrenaSJ ,have you checked the settings app (gear icon) on your Inspire 2 to make sure that the DIM screen setting has not been accidentally turned on?

If the dim screen is not turned on, then I am afraid that there are no further troubleshooting steps.  Screen brightness on the Inspire 2 was an issue from the beginning, with many people reporting difficulty in seeing the screen in bright sunlight, and as the device is now quite old (in electronic terms!) it is likely that the brightness has deteriorated.

If you are ready to upgrade, I can thoroughly recommend the Inspire 3 - the colour screen is easily visible in the brightest conditions.  If you do decide to upgrade it is worth getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com and telling them about the issue with your Inspire 2.  Although it will be well out of warranty, I know that they are often able to offer a discount to loyal customers looking to upgrade.  Alternatively, there is likely to be a Black Friday sale, if you want to wait that long 😉
