I've recently bought the Inspire 2 and it's driving me insane. It's seems that wrist movement knocks the side button so it's continually switching in and out of settings. It vibrates each time it does it (but despite hours of trying I can't get the thing to vibrate when I get a phone call!) so it is going off all day and sometimes it results in settings being changed, e.g. switching into DND mode which then stops screen wake working.
I've tried wearing it much further up my wrist and that helps a bit but it inevitably slips down so then I have an annoying floppy watch as well as all the other problems! Is there any other solution?

I hope it works this time! It really is a terrible design flaw, unfortunately!

Purchased the Inspire 2 on Amazon Prime day. I got one for myself and one for my MIL. I have had Fitbits for probably 10 years and never had such an annoying issue. I’m going to attempt the water lock solution but considering returning them both and getting is something else.

I am enduring it and the awful display smudging. Then I will most likely
go Apple

This is the solution, THANK YOU! The "button lock" is in the general settings, and when you turn it off you can't accidentally go to the quick setting of the modes. You can still go to these quick settings when the screen is awake. No more inadvertently going to the setting modes every few minutes.

If my watch is in water lock during a workout, will it still track my workout? The constant vibrating has stopped now that it is in water lock.

Same issue for me! I bought my Inspire 2 in august 2022 and here in January 2023 I’m wishing I’d just returned the wretched thing! I’ve sucked it up and turned on “Water mode”, but that even turns itself off with random touches too. Like doing that and waking me up as I rolled over in bed at 5.45am. 14 hours later I’m still livid! Oh, and when it turns itself off of water mode, good luck getting the screen to react to any tapping anywhere to turn water mode back on again… I was ready to throw it out the window into the snow this morning! What a waste of $70, it’s getting my heartrate up all by itself 😡 Got our daughter a second hand Inspire 1 in November and it’s far better. I’m so frustrated by this that I’m considering switching away from Fitbit completely at this point, pretty significant design flaws when you can’t even put your hands on your hips without causing the thing to go bananas cycling through all its screens 🤦:female_sign:

Ohhh this was last years news… I ended up sending it back and got the charge4 - then magically in November of 2022 when they did the software up date it killed mine & made it a “defective device” .. their offer “we will give you a 30% discount on a new o!! 3 of their products in less than 5 years and they all became “defective” after they updated them… screw you Fitbit! I was not the only one this update screwed - check out the charge4 forums… lots of people got screwed!
I will NEVER EVER give you another penny of my money! Useless company!
