@Viv15 Welcome to the Community.
Let me help you with this. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen while driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non-dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement. Also specifically for your tracker you could try wearing your tracker in clip mode and inside your pants pockets as this should decrease the amount of steps detected by your tracker.
Hope this helps.

My children bought me an inspire 2 for Xmas 2022. I thought it was something I had set up I correctly but after trying everything I’m still getting the notification I’ve got 10000 steps while I’m driving. I have just decided to search and see all the messages complaining about the same thing here and on the Inspire 3. Why has this not been fixed. This is just an expensive digital watch without this feature. What is being done for customers who bought an item that doesn’t do what it advertises. Switching arms and resetting doesn’t work
