Inspire 2 distance calculation incorrect

My Inspire 2 shows what seem to be the accurate number of steps, but when I multiply the number of steps by the stride length the result is considerably higher than what is displayed on my fitbit,  I have tried changing the stride length, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the distance.  What can I do to correct the distance?
