I recently just upgraded my Fitbit one to an Inspire two that my hubby got me a while back since he thought the fit bit one would die soon after almost 10 years working perfectly (and is still working). I hate that I have to use the app, as I am older and the screens are to small. Computers are easier to get around for some people.
I set up the app and I have read here that the supposedly the Inspire 2 doesn't count floors, but yet some claim that it counted floors for them for a while and then stopped. If that is the case why would the app display floors count? It knows I have an inspire 2, why doesn't it leave it off. Not to happy of a customer right now, as hubby thought it did the same thing as the fitbit One, I do not need extras, all I needed was steps and floors. If it is true that it doesn't do floors I guess I will go back to my Fitbit One (now I have to charge it every 3 days instead of 10) and once that dies leave the fitbit community for another tracker that meets my needs.
All I need to know does it count floors or not. As there is so much conflicting info and the tracker says it does when I hit the display.
Thank You

@Be50Gone I can tell you categorically that the Inspire 2 does not count floors. It doesn't have the altimeter hardware to count floors. The app might continue to show the floor tile if your switch was recent.
I'm sorry, but Fitbit didn't put the altimeter in any Inspire series model and the Inspire series is the line with the fewest bells and whistles. You obviously treated you One with TLC. Keep doing the same because I don't know of another basic tracker that counts floors. It really is shame that Fitbit removed the altimeter from devices. It started pre-Google, so we can't blame Google for that decision. Floor counting is a very popular feature.

Thank you, it has a ton of bells and whistles how many steps I have climbed is useful. I guess I will be looking for a new fitness tracker
