Inspire 2 not syncing with iPhone 12

Hey folks. 

I've been using my inspire 2 for a few weeks now and after charging the battery it didn't want to sync with my iphone 12 again.  I tried a reset (hold down the two buttons on the side for 10 sec's) turned on off bluetooth, forget this device (from bluetooth) deleted and re-installed fit bit app, but I cannot get my phone to find it.

Just getting a black screen, or the smiley face after a hard reset, but no other options available after the hard reset - screen just goes black again all while plugged into charger.  When its off the charger I get nothing, only vibrations, no visuals.

Any help would be appreciated.
