Inspire 2 not syncing

earlier on in the day the screen was black and it wasnt working, but it seems to be okay now except the dim screen mode is not staying on and the hourly steps arent on my screen and it's not syncing to my phone (also its not at the right time)

does anyone have any tips for this?

Good to see you in the community for the first time @amrutwell.  

Thanks for sharing with us the situation with your tracker.

Please, try to perform a restart on the device. The restart fixes most of the time inconveniences.

If the steps suggested gently by @Gr4ndp4 don't work, I'd suggest you set up the tracker as a new device.
