Inspire 2 not tracking correctly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The last week I had noticed that my inspire 2 was tracking lots more steps than it should have. I have it in a clip.  I've been gone since Friday so left it sitting on the counter.  Today I get home and Friday it says 9,145 steps,  Saturday 19,558 steps and today 25,041 steps! And it hadn't even moved. I have rebooted a couple of times.  What is going on?

Hi, @Joan105 could your Fitbit have been left near a source of vibration?  This could be an electric fan, a washing machine, dryer or dishwasher?  Even leaving it by a computer (which will have a cooling fan) could cause it to register steps.  If it regularly detects vibration and movement your Fitbit will begin to count steps.  That is how it is designed!
