Afew months ago the sleep tracker results looked different and now it just doesn’t track my sleep at all. I’ve spoken to customer services (didn’t fix it) and scrolled online and through these forums for help but nothing fixes the problem. Help!

Hi @ClaireB81. Welcome to the community forums.
Thank you for providing the details regarding the difficulty with Inspire 2 and thank you for trying to fix it on your own.
I'd recommend trying the following steps to make sure your heart rate is working:
Bear in mind that if your heart rate is not working properly, you won't receive sleep stages as this data is based on your heart rate readings. For more information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?
Additionally, see Why don't I see sleep stages today?

I have the same problem. No sleep tracking or heart rate data since last update which was 2 days ago according to the app info. What has happened and when will it be fixed?

@ClaireB81 and @Jencollie a feature of the Inspire 2 is that it can be worn on your wrist or on a clip. When it is set for the clip, the heart rate detection is turned off and you also don't get sleep metrics. To check this setting, press and hold both side buttons on the Inspire 2, you'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist", if you want see your heart rate. If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

My sleep tracking stopped working a few weeks ago. I am clueless as to how to reset anything ON the Inspire2. I wish I could just chat with someone that could walk me through a fix for this. Also doesn't register my heart rate. I'm just about ready to get an Apple Watch.

Can’t offer help but want to add thar even if it technically “works”, it may not be accurate. This morning, I got a score of 77 and my sleep stage percentages were based on a sleep period that claimed I slept until 6:44 am, even though I was up, dressed, washing dishes, feeding the dog, etc. from 5:53 a.m. (I logged the time myself) on. This is not the first time this has happened to me or other Inspire 2 owners. FYI… if you do get through to a human via chat, they’ll tell you that using the forum to post about such issues is not a “credible report”! But at least users can help each other know of the flaws and flukes in Fitbit’s algorithms.

Since the recent update to the new sleep tracking screen my tracking isn't very accurate either. Last night I turned off the lights at 10:00pm and was up twice to the bathroom, once at about 1:30 and again about 5:00. When I got up at about 6:30 it said that I had logged a total of one hour of sleep.

same problem here after June update. Just been on Fitbit online help and now fixed by going into quick settings and getting to on wrist/ on clip option. It had changed to on clip ( and on this mode does no heart related tracking). I certainly hadn’t done this…didn’t know option even there. I’ve had this inspire 2 since 2021 and I don’t change the settings. Hope this works for you. On line chat will talk you through what to do.

Just fixed mine by this but finding the option not easy. Wasn’t in my settings but in my quick settings.

I did this and it worked. It is not easy to find the right screen but it is working again!

I switch regularly between the wrist and clip - and always have to turn off water lock when doing so -- and it hasn't impacted the issue of the Inspire claiming I've been asleep when I'm awake - even though it's tracking my steps (sometimes multiple hundreds of steps). This throws off the percentages of time spent awake vs REM vs light vs deep sleep. Plus, occasionally it thinks I've been asleep for fewer hours than needed to count as sleep. It's frustrating to be providing Fitbit with data it uses to "perfect" its algorithms only to have it come back totally screwed up! As others on this string have said, the sleep tracking capabilities of FB are not very refined, accurate or useful.
