Inspire 2 stopped tracking heart rate

My Inspire 2 stopped tracking all metrics except steps - no sleep, no heart rate, no zone minutes.

How do I correct this???

@ngoebel are the green lights on the back of your Fitbit on? Those lights are needed for your device to detect your heart rate and that is necessary for all the metrics that you mentioned.

A feature of the Inspire is that it can be worn on your wrist or on a clip. Sometimes, when people aren't getting detailed metrics, it is because the device is in Clip mode. When it is set for the clip, the heart rate detection is turned off and you also don't get metrics that rely on heart rate. To check this setting, press and hold both side buttons on the Inspire 2, you'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist", if you want see your heart rate. If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

Hi @ngoebel. Welcome back to the community. Good to see you participating for the first time @ChristyJo.

Thank you for taking the time to share the details regarding this difficulty that you are experiencing with the Inspire 3.

As mentioned by @alexthecat ,if your Inspire 2 is not tracking your heart rate data accurately you won't get sleep stages and active zone minutes as heart rate readings are key for your sleep details. With that being said, I'd recommend trying the following steps to make sure your heart rate is working:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your Fitbit device. To switch the heart rate settings on your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Heart Rate > tap to turn the setting Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Inspire 3. To do so, from the Today tab, tap Devices > device image. Tap Sync Now
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Fitbit device once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your Fitbit device once again.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

In addition to that, if after performing the troubleshooting steps of heart rate you still not receive sleep data, I suggest taking a look at this help article Why don't I see sleep stages today?

Thank you @alexthecat for your help.

I just had the same thing happen to my Inspire2. The green lights are NOT on; the setting is for On Wrist.

Hi @RMartin. Welcome to the community.

I did, although several of the specific steps were not correct for Inspire2. But after doing Restart, the green light came on and yhe app synched. At that time I was able to observe heart rate data. We'll see if all keeps working.

As a side note, I also have a sleep ring device, and the info regarding time in sleep stages and when those occur during the sleep session do not match up at all.
