I want to buy different straps for my inspire 2. Can someone tell me the width of the strap so i make sure that it properly locks the inspire 2.

It doesn't have standard watch attachment mechanism.  Your best bet is to look on Amazon.  There are an abundance of third party straps available for nearly all Fitbit models at reasonable prices in wide variety of colors, materials, styles, etc.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
